Welcome to the latest weekly update.

Call me an obsessive, call me a mad keen supporter (I've been called worse) but I just cannot get THAT equaliser out of my head.

On Saturday we produced one of our best performances of the season to see off Hanworth Villa. Well, almost! After leading 3-1 going into the 92nd minute Hanworth Villa managed to score twice in injury time to deny us all three points, and allow South Park to extend their lead at the top to four points and with a game in hand.

The second of those late goals was a superb volley, but it only came about because of a degree of panic in the final stages and the loss of the ball in midfield by one of our better players. I just keep seeing the ball hitting the far corner of Kieran's net! This was all the more frustrating because Hanworth Villa had done exactly the same thing to us to turn a 2-1 lead into a 3-2 defeat back in April, just at the other end of the pitch!

Mention must also be made of our 4-2 win over Chipstead in the Southern Combination Cup. This too was a good performance and as we now turn towards our big Third Round League Cup tie at South Park, we go in with a five game unbeaten record which in fact would have been five straight wins if the games had stopped at 90 minutes!

Now if these sort of things can stay in your head, then it's time to replace them with some happy thoughts as we face the current League leaders. Firstly, we have a record of four wins and a draw from our five meetings. Secondly, we have won on both of our previous visits to Whitehall Lane. Thirdly, just in case anyone has forgotten, we defeated them 3-0 in the Cup Final back in May. Do we have their number? I hope so!

Come on you Salts!
