29th March 2016

Welcome to the latest Club update.

Sorry for having the week off last time. We now have two weeks to catch up on!

If I'm honest, it's not been a great couple of weeks. We have won two and lost one of our three matches, but both wins were narrow and late, while our home performance on Good Friday against Westfield has left us in a very difficult position if we are to put pressure on Ashford or Camberley fior second place.

There were many positives to take from Friday's game, off the field though. We had our biggest home crowd since Guernsey visited us, with 116 present. We also sold plenty of programmes and Super Six tickets and the game did give our players an extra day to recover before the Raynes Park game was scheduled to be played.

Of course that game was called off and is rescheduled for this evening. Please keep checking the website, Twitter feed and Facebook page for the up to date situation as we hope to know whether it will go ahead by 4pm today. If it is off again we will advise a new date. It is possible it could even be this Thursday, but we'll see.

Following that we visit Guildford City for a League fixture and if you get there early enough you may be able to join Steve Dyke as he attempts to break the World Record for the longest ever Conga. Steve is aiming for fifteen laps of the track at Guildford, I think which would equate to six kilometres. He hopes to finish around 1.30pm and hopefully he doesn't run too late as we kick off at 3!

Because of the Raynes Park uncertainty it is hard to advise when our future games will be. Currently we have no midweek match next week and are at home to Badshot Lea on Saturday 9th April but more about that next week.

Come on you Salts!
