Welcome to the latest Club update.

This week's summary is released a little later this week but this is because we had a game on the Bank Holiday Monday.

Before that match we secured a goalless draw at Westfield on Saturday. We had been beaten heavily on our two previous visits to the refurbished Woking Park so this was a good result, especially considering that we played the last 35 minutes with ten men, following the dismissal of Matt Ferdinando.

The sending off for two yellow cards was harsh, especially when the first was awarded despite a lack of any contact, but typical of the way the match was officiated.

Those who know me will realise that I always try to tell it as it is, and if we are poor, then I'll report that too, but the game was badly affected by a number of decisions, overrules and errors, and that is why it is so pleasing to report on our win on Monday which was excellently officiated.

On a very wet and slippery day the game was allowed to flow and the players actually allowed to play. It's also nice to report on our best performance of the season so far in defeating Raynes Park Vale 3-1, with their goal at the end being a mere consolation. It was unfortunate, particularly for our stand in keeper Daryl Cooper-Smith who went in between the posts at short notice, following the non-appearance of Connor O'Hara who had been signed as cover for the working Michael Eacott and had a fine game in difficult conditions.

We next face a trip to Sussex to renew rivalries with Horsham in the Vase on Sunday. It is a very tough tie but we go into the game in good form, while they have just lost a home replay in the F.A. Cup to Deal Town.

So both teams have an unbeaten League record and one defeat to a team from Kent in the F.A. Cup. Should be exciting, why not come along to Horsham YMCA and see how we get on?

Come on you Salts!
