Welcome to the latest Club update.

It's been another quiet week for the Salts.

Last season we were fortunate to have home games whenever the weather was bad, and this enabled us to put together a good run of form. This season it seems as though every away game we have is off! It is now six weeks since we played an away League game, back on 14th December at Wembley.

During the week South Park won their game in hand to extend their lead over us to eight points. On Saturday Camberley also won and while Windsor appear to be dropping out of contention, due to a 1-0 surprise home defeat to Croydon, it is the first two teams that are our greater threats to the title.

South Park face some very tricky fixtures in the next few days, hosting Wembley and Windsor before travelling to Hanworth Villa. We have to match their performances at worst as we play three games against Hartley Wintney, Cove and Windsor.

What might sound strange is that maybe it's bad news that all three of them are at home. We have only lost once away from High Road this season, yet have departed three cups and lost four League matches at our temporary headquarters this season. To make things more difficult, Hartley appear back in form following their post FA Cup slump, while Cove are like us, much better away from home this term. I'd like to look forward to a big match with Windsor, but if we don't win our next two matches, then the Windsor match could be relegated to the importance of a third place battle.

We are becoming unfortunate victims of the weather this year and need to catch up both points and games, starting on Tuesday. Why not come down and watch?

Come on you Salts!
