July 2015

Welcome to the latest Club update.

On the field We have now received the draw details for the League Cup; a competition that we of course famously won in 2013. We have a bye for the second year running and travel to our old landlords Banstead Athletic in the second round. The tie will probably be played in early / mid October.

Additionally, the F.A. Cup and F.A. Vase draws will be released on Friday 3rd July and will be shown IN FULL on the website as soon as I can get them on. I hope to have them available by 12.00 but please keep checking twitter as I will confirm there as soon as they are ready.

Pre-season training commences at Epsom College from 7pm on Tuesday 7th July. Please note that the venue has requested that no blades are to be worn.

Our pre-season friendlies are confirmed and are available on the website, kicking off with a friendly against Banstead Athletic at Surbiton Town on Thursday July 9th. Please note that times and in a couple of cases, venues may change.

Off the field We can advise that our Annual General Meeting is to be held on Sunday 26th July at 8pm at the Epsom Common Working Mens Club. All can attend, but only members can vote and you should have received notification of this from our Membership Secretary Mel Tough by now if your membership has expired.

Finally, I am pleased to report that our club has won the prestigious Combined Counties League Programme of the Year award for the third time in five seasons, following success in 2010/11 and 2012/13. Thanks to all of those who contributed to it is some way.

That's all for now, but these editorials will shortly be reverting to weekly ones again so please keep looking back in to find out what is happening at YOUR club!

Come on you Salts!
