26th January 2015

Welcome to the latest Club update.

Two late goals sealed our fate as Molesey progressed to a Surrey Senior Cup Quarter Final at home to Corinthian Casuals or Badshot Lea by three goals to one.

We do seem to have played some very good sides recently and Molesey were no exception, although on another day we might have pinched something from the tie.

With no midweek fixture until our League Cup Quarter Final with Camberley on 24th February we just have one game a week, which I'm sure isn't such a bad thing at this stage of the season. Of course, some of our players will be fresher than others as a result of suspensions, and we will have a full team to choose from when we meet Camberley for a League match on Saturday 7th February. All except for George Murphy who has just undergone a double hernia operation and the club wish him well.

Next up for us are Westfield at High Road on Saturday. They played us off the park, winning 4-0 at Woking Park back in September, yet despite their fine performance that night, sit very precariously in the League table. Their recent win at Ashford Town reminds us all that the League table only gives us so much information so we would be wise to take the challenge as seriously as we would against a top five team.

Come on you Salts!
