Welcome to the latest Club update.

It's a busy one this week, but where to start?

Well, obviously the major news is the resignation of our long-serving Manager Lyndon Buckwell. He advised the club on Saturday afternoon and the players were informed after their win at Hanworth Villa. There are more details in our club statement, which is on the front page on the website.

It is always disappointing when someone associated with our club for so long is to leave us, although it has already been agreed that Glyn Mandeville, our current Assistant Manager will be stepping up, so there should be very little in the way of change, although of course there will be a new Assistant and this will be announced as soon as we know who it is.

This Saturday's game is to be classified as a "Thank you Lyndon" day and it is hoped that we will see many former players if they are available, in addition to any supporters who would like to say goodbye.

In terms of results, we have had a mixed week. We worked hard to take the lead in our important F.A. Cup tie at Croydon, only to then concede three times in the next eight minutes, eventually losing 4-1. We fought back well to defeat Hanworth Villa 5-2. Having taken an early lead there we were pegged back almost immediately, and could have crumbled but our lads fought really well to take virtually the rest of the game to the Villains and only the obligatory late strike for the home side stopped us winning by a four goal margin, such was our dominance.

I should point out that the players were unaware of Lyndon's announcement until after the match, so it was a wonderful performance entirely on merit. If we can keep that up, we should be climbing the table very shortly and with the F.A. Vase, League Cup and County Cup still to come, there is still a lot of success that we can achieve this season. Over to you Glyn!

Come on you Salts!
