Welcome to the latest Club update.

As we approach Christmas, the Salts are well positioned, sitting comfortably in third place. With the top four all winning again this week and beginning to pull away from the rest, I believe we have played the toughest schedule so far of those clubs.

Saturday's game at Wembley was another example of this. Unbeaten in nine, the Lions were well up for the task, and in all honesty, could have gone ahead on a few occasions. That they didn't was down largely to a huge defensive display and an inspired aecond half from Kieran Campbell before we showed our resilience by knocking in a couple of late goals to clinch the points.

With exception of the Mole Valley game, it appears that every team we face are in good form and this will continue with (weather permitting) a trip to Raynes Park Vale on Tuesday and the big meeting on Saturday with Windsor. Christmas brings us a home game against Horley, although with new Manager syndrome in operation over there, you just know that this will be tricky too, before we travel to South Park to open the New Year on 4th January.

Further good news is in the air as both Jamie Hatfield and Carl Downs were able to play again, following bouts of injury and illness respectively. Now only Jake Downs remains injured out of our full squad, and whilst it is extremely unfortunate for him, as a club, we are probably luckier than most in having just the one man down at this stage of the season.

It is already clear to me that this season's League winners will be one of the top four. Will it be South Park, Windsor, Camberley, or maybe Epsom & Ewell? I think I know what all Epsom fans want from Father Christmas this year!

Come on you Salts!
