Historical Section 1918-19 Season How did the Epsom club come into being? Regrettably all those who might have been able to answer this question have now passed away, but we know the club was founded in 1918 due to this account of the club's early years that appeared in the Sutton & Cheam Illustrated Mail in 1922, just after the club changed it's name from Epsom Juniors to Epsom Town. It was written by the Club's first Secretary, Len Miller. The reference near the top of this report to a "Mr C.Sperring" was a misprint and should have been Mr E.Sperring.
